This weekend we joined the festivities in the celebration of one of the most iconic cartoon characters of all time, Minnie Mouse. Christian Siriano created a custom dress based off of this year’s pre-fall collection. His design is a modern take on the icon herself who has been rocking polka dots since she was first showcased in 1928. The primary color was fuchsia and with the main element being white bows encrusted in Swarovski crystals, that alludes to her iconic head piece that the character is known for. “Minnie Mouse and her iconic style have had a huge impact on me and on the fashion industry. I drew inspiration from Minnie Mouse’s ability to light up a room and designed a dress for her that is happy, playful and what I like to call ‘downtown chic.’ I also infused some special touches to celebrate her classic polka dots.” Siriano stated at the upbeat event.
